Hunter Sensors
Rain sensors are a must on any irrigation system, after all, who wants to have their sprinklers running while it’s raining out?

Hunter also offers wind, freeze and flow sensors for special applications that require the added insurance they provide.

Order Hunter Sensors

Solar Sync

The Solar Sync ET sensor is an advanced weather sensor that calculates evapotranspiration (ET) and adjusts Hunter controllers daily based on local weather conditions. Solar Sync measures sunlight and temperature, and uses ET to determine the correct seasonal adjustment percentage value to send to the controller.

The controller then uses its programmed run time and adjusts to Solar Sync’s seasonal adjustment value to modify the actual irrigation run time for that day. In addition, the Solar Sync ET sensor integrates Hunter’s popular Rain-Clik™ and Freeze-Clik® sensors providing quick response in shutting down your irrigation system during rain and/or freezing conditions. The Solar Sync is compatible with most Hunter controllers and applicable to residences, businesses, and municipalities alike.

Soil-Clik

The Soil-Clik simplifies soil moisture sensing. The Soil-Clik probe uses proven technology to measure moisture within the root zone. When the probe senses that the soil has reached its desired moisture level, it will shut down irrigation, preventing water waste.

Soil-Clik has two components: A moisture sensor probe, which is placed in the soil, and an electronic module, which communicates with the probe and the controller. The probe is easy to install – simply bury it to the correct root depth for your plant material. It can be placed up to 1000 feet from the controller. Easy push button operation allows adjustments to the desired moisture level, with an immediate update of actual measurements.

The module attaches to all AC powered Hunter controllers and will work with most other manufacturers' AC powered controllers. Soil-Clik can be programmed to shut down irrigation when it senses adequate moisture.

Backed by Hunter’s 5-year warranty, the Soil-Clik is an effective water-saver either by itself or as a companion with Solar Sync® for an environmentally responsive solution.

Mini-Clik®
The world’s most simple, accurate, rugged, and reliable rain sensors.

There’s nothing more embarrassing–or more wasteful or costly–than an irrigation system that runs when it doesn’t have to…in the rain.
Mini-Clik® provides the simplest, most effective way to prevent sprinklers from coming on during or after precipitation. It easily installs on any automatic irrigation system, then shuts sprinklers off in a storm and keeps them off, automatically compensating for the amount of rainfall that occurred.

Disks absorb water and expand proportionally to the amount of rain that fell (e.g., a small cloudburst would result in little absorption, a 6" thunderstorm would lead to more absorption and expansion). As the moisture-laden disks expand, they eventually activate a switch that interrupts the circuit from the controller to the solenoid valves.

Once dry, they contract and release the switch. Thus, Mini-Clik automatically resets without ever affecting your controller. There’s no better way to ensure that a system isn’t watering when it isn’t necessary.

Rain-Clik™
The reliable rain sensor with instant shutoff.

Most rain-sensing devices work by accumulating a set amount of rainfall before a switch is activated that interrupts the circuit from the controller and shuts off the system. In that “accumulation time”, the system will unnecessarily continue to water.

This can look especially bad for conservation-conscious municipalities, businesses, and residences. With built-in Quick Response technology, the Hunter Rain-Clik and Wireless Rain-Clik can command a controller to shut off right when it starts to rain. The Rain-Clik can be mounted on an eave or any flat vertical surface like a wall or fence. A gutter mount is also available that allows for easy installation of the Rain-Clik on the edge of a gutter.

Wireless Rain-Clik™
The first reliable wireless rain sensor provides fast installation on any system

If the thought of running wires from a controller has kept you from adding rain sensors to your systems, now there’s a hasslefree alternative.

The Hunter Wireless Rain-Clik™ attaches quickly and easily–simply install the receiver unit next to your irrigation controller, then install the transmitter anywhere that the device can receive representative rainfall. No ladders needed to attach to a high outcropping on a building, no messy wires to hide out of view.

What also sets a Hunter Rain-Clik apart are features no other rain-sensing device offers. The unique Quick Response™ feature allows the product to shut off immediately when it starts to rain. And, unlike its competition, Hunter’s sophisticated sensing mechanism cannot be fouled by debris, giving the Wireless Rain-Clik the most highly accurate operation.

Freeze-Clik®
Control irrigation system operation during freezing temperatures.

Imagine going to bed while the temperature is mild, then having your automatic irrigation system go on as usual while a freeze set in overnight...and you arise to see a landscape frozen over, with ice on adjoining driveways, sidewalks and even roadways a real possibility.

In some areas, where temperature swings like this are all too common, the results are not only hazardous to the life of your lawn and plants, it can also be hazardous to those who may walk or drive nearby. With the Hunter Freeze-Clik you can prevent irrigation systems from activating by automatically stopping the flow of water when the outdoor temperature drops to a near freezing level.

When the temperature rises above that set point, Freeze-Clik simply resets your system to its regular cycle. Easy to mount, easy to use, Freeze-Clik can also be used in conjunction with other weather sensing devices to guarantee the optimum effectiveness of a landscape irrigation system in virtually all types of weather.

Wind-Clik®
Control irrigation system information during high wind conditions.

Look at any sprinkler’s performance chart and you’ll see that the data was gathered from tests conducted under zero wind conditions. Of course, in the real world, not every day is a calm one. And, while most sprinklers can still perform at close to peak efficiency with some type of breeze, when the air movement starts to get stronger, water coverage can get challenging, questionable and downright messy.

It can even become a liability issue when windblown sprinklers soak pedestrian paths or roadways with passing cars.

The Hunter Wind-Clik offers the most cost-effective solution to such situations as it shuts off irrigation systems during periods of high wind (shut down points are adjustable), then automatically resets the system when conditions are more favorable.

With Wind-Clik you’ll save water, worry and money as your system will only be operating at the times when you can be sure that the water intended for your landscape will reach its destination. For effective wind control, you’ll be blown away by Wind-Clik…instead of simply seeing your water blown away by the wind.

Mini-Weather Station
Control irrigation system operation with sensors for wind, rain, and temperature.

Having a climate like a smorgasbord can make for some tricky business when it concerns your irrigation system. Of course, you can simply look out the window and decide whether to turn on the sprinklers manually each day, but that defeats the purpose of an automatic system. What you really need is an automatic device that can make the decision whether there is too much rain, too much wind or too much cold to do the watering.

With the Hunter Mini-Weather Station you get each of Hunter's three different sensor devices in one single convenient unit.

The Mini-Clik® rain sensor shuts sprinklers off in a storm and keeps them off, automatically compensating for the amount of rainfall that occurred.

The Freeze-Clik® prevents system activation by automatically stopping the flow of water when outdoor temperatures drop near freezing.

The Wind-Clik® shuts off systems during periods of high wind, then automatically resets the system when conditions are more favorable. Easy to mount (it attaches to your controller with just two wires) and easy to use, the Mini-Weather Station takes all the guesswork out of when you shouldn't water.
